Casa Encuentro Ecolodge, Outdoor Gym and Yoga

This place is a piece of heaven on earth. I left with a full heart. I came the 1st time in November 2024 and I fell in love with the place so I come back 2 months later and I fell in love even more. - Let's start with the view that is just incredible. You can sit there for hours and just look at the landscape. The mariage of vegetation and the lack makes the place looking as a painting. The entire place is peaceful and relaxing and you are only a short walk from town if you want more craziness and activities. - Lodges are in the middle of vegetation which give you the impression of being one with the nature. The decoration made the place very authentic. My room was very comfy and I have plenty of space. I got a mini fridge (perfect for snacks). My room has also a private terrace with a view on the lack with a table and a hammock (perfect to chill and relax). I was worried about the room temperature at night but I even did not need to open the window actually. - There is a private access to the lack, which is perfect for a swim during the hot hours of the day. They also offer activities as yoga, kayak, hiking, massage... You can not get bored. - The breakfast is very generous and good. You don't need another meal until late afternoon. - Lady at the reception was very kind and helpful. She made me feel very comfortable even if my Spanish was very limited. Always happy to answer my questions. - The last but not the least was my meeting with Maria the owner and the creator of the place. She made my stay unforgettable with a her warmth. She made me feel as a family member. We did a firecamp, went to San Rafael, I met her lovely family... Being a solo traveler Maria took care of me as a daughter (I even don't speak Spanish hahaha). She so inspiring, as a human, as a woman, as an artist and as a nature lover. Don't miss her during your stay if you want to meet someone special. Thank you Casa Encuentro for being my new

-Location is a 10 minute walk from the centre in a peaceful location -The view is absolutely stunning -Very good breakfast from view point -Staff were helpful

-There is quite a trek down to the room, this is tough with luggage,though definitely worth it, however,you are able to leave your main luggage at the top and take down what you need. -We had no hot water throughout our stay, we told the receptionist but it wasn't fixed.

I like that it was a few minutes away from the commotion in the town … I also enjoyed the great view and delicious breakfast. In addition the staff was extremely friendly and helpful

The room was a bit small… but it was fine for two nights …. I’d return and probably rent the cabin

The room wasn’t deep clean. The sink was dirty, there was a lot of insects and we found a living cockroach in the bed. It is extremely small, so that you don’t even have place to let the backpacks. The sink was in the room, near the bed. When someone flushed the toilet (even the neighbors) it came a very bad smell out of the drain of the sink into the room. Very uncomfortable. The hostel itself has a nice vibe and its good decorated, but it’s clear that everything its old, the doors are made out of paper and you can hear everything. Price it’s a bit too much for what you get. Overpriced for me.

Great location, only a 15 minute walk into Guatapé. Seeing the morning sun on the lake while enjoying a healthy and filling break every morning was beautiful. Loved the free hot water and coffee. Beds were also comfy and the dorm was spacious.

The property had a beautiful view overlooking the reservoir. The common hammock space was great for sunset viewing and sleeping was cool and quiet. There were shelves and lockers in the room for organizing stuff. The breakfast was extraordinary- best included breakfast we’ve had in Colombia!

Tiny bathroom, but water was hot!

We loved our stay at Casa Encuentro Ecolodge! We had a bungalow overlooking the lake with our own outside lounge net. The view was incredible, so beautiful to wake up to with a cup of tea. The bungalow was decorated very well with everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing - so fresh, delicious and lots of it. It was a really memorable stay.

Unfortunately when we stayed the road leading up to the Ecolodge was being dug up so no tuktuk’s could reach it. Just meant we had to carry our bags up the hill in the heat. Not the Ecolodges fault at all but a bit of warning would have been helpful.

It was amazing! One of the best stays I have ever had during my Colombia trip. It is located 10 minutes away from the town by walking. The hostel people are very hospitable. The place is so peaceful and you wake up with the bird sounds. The breakfast is served every morning and you have your breakfast with an incredible view. I don’t know what else to expect from a stay! Definitely I would like to come back if I have the opportunity!

Best views over the lake and the rock! Access to the lake and hammocks to relax. 15min walk out of town is perfect to get away from all the busy shops. Delicious breakfast. Could have stayed longer!
