Casa Encuentro Ecolodge, Outdoor Gym and Yoga

The accommodation is just a short walking distance from town... easy to reach, safe area. The room was very clean and the stuff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent... various offer, changing every day! Shower with hot water! I would recommend thins quiet place!

We had a lovely stay here, it’s so nice and tranquil right by the lake but still walkable into town. The staff were lovely and we got a free upgrade to a better room which was great! The breakfast was also delicious and filling.

Awesome customer service, amazing views, great breakfast. Just 10 minutes walk to downtown. Very quiet area. Waking up with the birds and sleeping with the rain was so peaceful.

I stayed in the waterfront bungalow, which was amazing. I wish there would be more motion sensor lights on the way to the bungalow at night. Everything was great.

The hostel is near a lake, with lots of greenery around. But it is also only a 10 minute work away from the centre of Guatape. Therefore, I was able to make the best of both the tranquil nature and the city. The hostel staff, and the family associated with the hostel, are all very helpful, kind and warm. The family work hard because they want to create positive experiences for guests, and I believe they succeed in this regard. The hostel has a lovely outdoor yoga area. I used it to do yoga, qigong and meditation. I really appreciated being able to do these exercises while enjoying fresh air and nature at the same time. The hostel has delicious breakfasts. There is also variety with slightly different breakfasts each day. The hostel also provides coffee and tea all day. I appreciated this touch. If I return to Guatape then this hostel will be my first choice.

The hostel reception closes in the evening so this might be a problem for people arriving after-hours. To be clear, this was not a problem for me. If you do intend to arrive after-hours then I would advice communicating with the hostel staff in advance. In my experience, the hostel staff were all excellent at communication.

A nice place run by a nice family in a great location. Great view from the room. Loved starting the day with a swim in the lake. A nice space to do a workout by the lake (including something that can be used for pull ups). Enjoyed the Yoga they have on Sundays, and paddle boarding on the lake (can hire a paddle board here). Very tasty breakfast which was different every day. Nice and quiet at night. A short walk to the town. Loved it.

View on lake, close to center (10min walk). Good value but overall concept to be clearer (see negative).

We expected to have a very quiet place with the bungalow. Unfortunately there is a fireplace and camping slots 10m below and their toilets is just above the bungalow...not well thought. It can be quite noisy pending on people there. We were lucky the 2nd night as it started to rain heavily at 22:00 but 1st night was very noisy till midnight . For a place doing yoga sessions it is not really compatible
