We had the private cylinder as a couple with a shared bathroom. It was clean and the bathrooms were clean, showers warm. The cylinder was cosy and I slept well. The pool was nice, nice bar area. Resort type feel without the price tag. Good location. This was one of the cheaper accommodations that we could find in La Fortuna due to it being so expensive and I think it was pretty good value for money!

The cylinder really isn’t very spacious, literally no floor room. There is a space underneath the bed to store bags so this was fine but just be warned. Very loud bar next door, playing very loud music late. The cylinders were pretty sound proof so not an issue for us but for some of the safari tents closer to the bar (and with thinner wall) this might be an issue. Drinks in the hostel were expensive so we didn’t buy drinks there. Really bad in terms of preparing food, would not recommend staying here if you like to prepare any of your own meals at all. There is a fridge which is fine, and a table to prepare food with a sink and plates/ bowls/ cutlery. There is a microwave apparently which you need to ask to use, a kettle, and maybe one or two dirty mugs/ plastic cups. The area was filthy, there were barely any plates, no bowls at all (I asked) and one spoon with a few knives and forks. We couldn’t even make our own breakfast here due to there being no bowls, and didn’t make our own coffee as the one mug looked gross. I know it’s advertised as having no kitchen but the lack of cutlery/ bowls/ mugs and how filthy the area was is pretty shocking for a hostel. This is my only real negative feedback.

וואו! הוסטל מעולה! זאת הפעם הראשונה שאני ישנה בדורמס החדרים היו גדולים, נקיים, מיטות נוחות, מים רותחים במקלחת והיה פשוט מושלם הבריכה נקייה גדולה ויפה וגם הבריכה המחוממת הייתה מושלמת המקום בטוח מאוד אחזור לכאן שוב בטיול הבא

Todo! Le service est impècable du moment où tu y es et que tu quittes. La qualité et la.propretè des chambres , que ce soit en chambre partagèe ou seule. Les salles de bains et des douches, il n'en manque pas. Immense jacuzzi et piscine propre et chaude. Vraiment , c'est le meilleur hostel à La Fortuna..

Lovely hostel, relaxed atmosphere, friendly knowledgable staff. We loved the tent very spacious large bed

No mosquito nets, we brought a net but is didn’t fit over the bed, and we couldn’t tie it to the top of the tent.
