A beautiful old building, well looked after with a lovely friendly owner and very near to the main plaza In the historic centre.

The shower really let it down as extremely difficult to regulate and would suddenly get dangerously hot. A kitchen was advertised and though the owner was very welcoming and was happy for you to use it, it only comprised of a microwave, fridge, sink, cutlery. He also offered you to use his selection of teas and fruit. Thirdly the room was cleaned daily as advertised so the bathroom bin wasn’t emptied - sure they would have done it if we’d asked though.

The location is excellent - set in the Historical Centre easy walking to supermarkets restaurants and the beautiful squares and plazas. It was quiet from traffic, had an awesome atmosphere, was extremely clean & cared for. I enjoyed my privacy though the staff were extremely helpful.

Outstanding hospitality. The ambience is old style, beautiful and full of the "touch" of Señor Coba, the owner. Hostal Flores is one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed in. Comfortable and relaxing; quiet and welcoming. Staff and owner were responsive to our every need. Good advise about local places to see. Relaxed and very clean and comfortable. We liked being able to hang hand- washing on the Terraza and to eat and make tea and use the "kitchen" on the ground floor. Everything was sparkling clean and neat. Central location for "Old Town" Quito; public transport; sights and sounds of Quito Staff: Ismael and Alex were superb. Proficient in English.

Very friendly and helpful staff/hosts, very close to the city center (couple of blocks to the main square), clean, spacious room, confortable. Would definitely come back.

All in all the stay was very good, just a couple of things. For the first night I was given a room in very poor conditions, but they moved me the next day to another one. The location is very good w.r.t. the city center and the street felt safe, but if you walk a couple of blocks in the other direction, you will reach a dangerous area, so just beware. Not easy to open the window of the bathroom for ventilation.
