"Beautiful house and location but expensive for plain accommodation"

We liked the location. Beautiful nature.

Very expensive considering how plain everything was. Only one sink in the kitchen for a whole house full of people. Queues to wash up or get water for the one kettle. Nowhere in the bedroom to put anything on apart from the floor. The bed was so very squeaky that we put the mattress on the ground in order to be able to sleep.

You know what you're expecting at a Youth Hostel, we had a great night here, very friendly and helpful staff, great room, evening meal was excellent and great overall value for money.

"Fabulous place to stay with fabulous staff!"

The location for us was perfect, we did the stepping stones walk which took us around 2.5hrs (highly recommend) The hostel was immaculate and lovely staff. Fully stocked bar and lovely breakfast. There is a local pub 10/15 min walk away. Head torches would be needed to access in the dark. Overall a really great stay☺️

Shower was just a trickle.
