Property Notes

All bedding, linen, towels, crockery and cutlery are provided with your booking. As well as a firepit with barbecue grill and outdoor seating. Logs and charcoal are available to buy onsite. Acheninver Hostel is an iconic walk-in hostel overlooking the Summer Isles on the Ben Mor Coigach Wildlife Reserve. You will leave your vehicle in a safe off road public car park and walk 5-10 mins down a mountain track to your pod, there is no vehicle access to the hostel. There is a wheelbarrow at you pod if you need to do more than one trip for luggage and food. This property is not wheelchair accessible. You will have DIY check in info emailed to you before arrival, the warden will be available onsite in the private house if you need anything. You can check in after 4pm on arrival day, check out is by 10am. Acheninver Hostel is 27miles from Ullapool and will take 1hour to drive. A deposit may be required at the property.

We stayed in one of the pods, and it was extremely well equipped and clean, and felt spacious despite 3 of us staying there. The shared kitchen and common room was clean and felt a lot more cosy and homey than other hostels we stayed in. The location was perfect for what we needed, although remote the views were lovely and it’s the perfect place for an overnight if you’re travelling around.

The beds were slightly small and firm so a slightly uncomfortable sleep but this is to be expected from a glamping pod type of accommodation.

Hostel is in a great quiet location, partitions for 2-2-4 people staying in dorm upstairs, our section for 2 had a sink, warm comfy shared living and cooking space, good wifi in the main building

No hot water except in shower, outdoor bathroom and shower block, the remote location means a lot of driving on single track roads, creaky bed

A cosy little pod, compact and great for a night at the peaceful coastal setting. The pod also has a very good shower with great water pressure. There's a short walk down to the beach too. 🙂

The walk to & from the hostel is a little rough and wet in places but was part of the experience.
