Location, comfortable beds, breakfast

I stayed in room without the view of lake

Very little,the food was edible and very basic

Well after paying almost £200 for two nights we were then on arrival asked for another £10 for parking ? .I said in that case I will park next door on the free car park he said you will still have to pay £5 or be fined £70 ? .He explained that cameras clocked every vehicle reg as it entered the site and if no payment was made immediately a £70 fine would follow in the post. So I reluctantly paid the £5 and removed my car off the site. But what about the general public who enter the site to find the car park full and leave the site only to find when they arrive home that they have been fined £70 for not paying for parking now that. Is daylight robbery. ! Then we were given the furthest room in the building up 3 double flights of stairs 70 steps in total to find the door on our room smashed in and won't lock. So back down all the stairs to report the damage and we are 80 years old. So not the best welcome either. I have asked the Y.H.A. to refund my parking charges and advise everyone else who has been ripped off to do the same.needless to say we won't be returning to this hostel until the parking charges are scrapped and the clown that is responsible for them in the first place is sacked !!

The location was excellent. This was my 2nd stay in same month. This time we had a shared toilet which was sometime not very clean however it was good stay overall.

The property is wonderful and perfect for hikers like me.

It was good, I would prefer if there were most washrooms. But overall it’s great.
