Location excellent, great value for money, rooms clean

I enjoyed my stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view overlooking the lakeside, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. The shower facilities were decent and generally well maintained. One area that could be improved would be the shared toilets. I understand that, with shared facilities, occasional cleanliness issues can happen, and that is understandable. However, during my stay I noticed some stains that could have been addressed sooner. It would be appreciated if staff could check and clean the toilets more regularly throughout the day to help maintain a better standard of cleanliness for all guests.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights and unfortunately my experience with the service was disappointing. During my stay, I approached the reception desk and asked for a towel and shower gel. The staff said ''have you paid already?'' I said ''no, not yet.'' Then he said, ''you have to pay.'' I did not say anything back after that. I was fully aware that towels were available for hire, as this was already clearly displayed on the information board. What disappointed me was not the charge itself, but the way the situation was handled. Other guests nearby could hear the conversation, and I felt the approach came across as unnecessarily abrupt and unwelcoming. I also had an unpleasant experience during breakfast on my last day. I arrived at the bar area at around 8:30 AM and was informed that breakfast service would begin at 9:00 AM. I said that was absolutely fine and waited patiently. Once breakfast service started, I placed my order straight away. However, my food did not arrive until nearly an hour later. While I understand delays can happen, what I found frustrating was that a family who arrived and ordered after me received their food before I did. Is it because they are family and they have a huge order, wherein in my case I was alone? I just did not know why their order came first before mine? The hotel itself is decent and the location is nice, but I believe the staff would benefit from additional training in customer service and guest relations. Sadly, because of these experiences, I do not think I would choose to stay at this hotel again.

Very nice overall

Bar was excellent, great beer selection great view of the lake. Location was brilliant. Staff were good.

I didn’t get breakfast but others said it wasn’t worth the money.
