La comida

Sehr gute Lage! Das Hostel liegt direkt am Eingang des Nationalparks, sodass man alles fussläufig erreichen kann und alle Aktivitäten auch ohne Guide möglich sind; alles überraschend sauber - es wird den ganzen Tag geputzt und die Wege werden mehrfach pro Tag gefegt; das Hostel ist wirklich nicht so schlimm wie viele Bewertungen vermuten lassen! Ich persönlich hatte auch keine kleinen Tierchen in meiner 4 Bett Hütte 🤷‍♀️; das Essen ist preislich auch voll in Ordnung wenn man bedenkt, dass alles extra dorthin transportiert werden muss!

Organisation der Ausflüge (hatte an einem Tag Infos bekommen und am nächsten Tag sagte man mir das wäre falsch); viele Angestellte sprechen nur spanisch und tun aber so, als würden sie Englisch verstehen, was die Kommunikation sehr erschwert hat und man nicht das bekommen hat was man brauchte

The location is perfect, just next to the Semuc ticket area. also, it has lovely spots to enjoy some chill time watching the river. Rural hut, perfect for one or two nights experiences

The staff was not really on it, I get the vibes there are take it easy and relax, but sometimes it was just too much. And the waiting time for the restaurant is impressive, considering the food quality (basic sandwiches not worth the cost, actual meals are a bit more value for money. I would have liked a ban of smoking close to the rooms. I was in the top floor of the hut (open walls towards the bottom floor), and my room was like a chimney for the smokers just below.

On a retrouvé le même dépaysement qu'il y a 6 ans et même plus... une route carrossable toute neuve. Un vrai bonheur

La modernisation se met gentiment en place avec des infrastructures pour mieux accueillir le tourisme au abord des chutes.... Plus de monde certes mais il semble que l'environnement soit respecté à défaut de la tranquillité... on ne peut pas tout avoir!

My stay at this hostel caused a very serious issue for me. After staying there, I developed multiple inflamed bites all over my body, which strongly suggests a hygiene problem, possibly bed bugs or insects in the bedding. This has severely affected my health and my trip. For several days I have been dealing with intense itching, pain, and visible wounds on my body. I have not been able to sleep properly, wear normal clothing, or continue my travel comfortably. This situation completely disrupted my trip and caused both physical and emotional distress. I expected basic cleanliness and safety, which unfortunately was not met
