Finca Hostal Bolivar - Casa Quinta

Loved everything about this property: the room, bed, bathroom, views, river access and river itself, shelf by my dorm bed, price, hammocks outside and inside the living/dining room, shared kitchen facilities, just a few minutes walking time from town, geckos, cats, dog, staff, WiFi, daily cleaning.

I loved everything so much that I extended my stay from three nights to seven nights!

Very peaceful location, overlooking the mountains of Minca. Quite environment yet close to the city center.

Hot water did not mix with cold water and meant that the hot water was not usable for more than a few seconds Booking.com description said payment with card was possible but when I arrived, I was told I could not Wifi did not work in dorm room

Die Lage und die Casa an sich sind außergewöhnlich. Die Casa ist wunderschön eingerichtet, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse mit Hängematten und Ausblick ist wahnsinnig toll. Ein toller Ort, um auszuspannen, man sieht viele unterschiedliche Vögel und das Klima ist toll. Eine der besten Unterkünfte, die wir auf unserer Kolumbienreise hatten. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Die Lage fanden wir super. Die Terasse ist sehr entspannend und man kann auch Tiere beobachten, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Der Fussmarsch von 10 Minuten ist völlig okei. Das Bett war sehr bequem, sogar warmes Wasser hatten wir und ein Föhn war auch vorhanden. Die Grösse des Zimmers war auch ausreichend.

Der Zimmerboden fand ich nicht wirklich sauber. Auch die Küche durfte etwas cleaner sein.

Super cute hostel with an incredible view. Worth the hike up, the facilities were great and enough space for everyone.

Blackout when we were there lasted a while, it’s inevitable sometimes but something to be mindful of the area when it rains.

The location is quite beautiful.

The staff were terrible. The unfriendliest checkin ever. We were forced to pay cash because the card machine was ‘broken’. As there is no ATM in Minca this is highly inconvenient. But since we had cash we didn’t complain. As soon as we handed it over the girl got all irritated that we didn’t have exact change, the amount was something like 606.500 and I paid with 620.000 so that was ridiculous. We were then sent up the hill to the hotel (checkin is at the bottom of the hill) and had to wait for an hour until someone came up and showed us our room. The room turned out to be open and had the key in the door so we waited for nothing. The three days of our stay we saw no other staff at all. No one cleaned anything. There is a bar and a little shop next to the common area but they were never opened. Bedrooms are next to the common area so if people were noisy it was impossible to sleep. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and linens had stains on them. Mosquito nets didn’t fit.
