Perfect for my needs

Great little place that is on route 72 cycle route and easy distance to Hexham. Great place for exploring Hadrians wall.

Just lacks a communal area ( small seating area in the kitchen). But really is what it says on the tin ‘a bunkhouse’.

Beliggende i landsby med hyggelig atmosfære Faciliteterne var gode til prisen. Ubemandet. Lidt langt fra ruten (Hadrian's Wall Path).turen til og fra ruren var dog fin.

The location was beautiful, check in process was very easy, bed linen was very clean and so were the bathrooms. The contacts was very helpful after I locked myself out the room! Be careful of the doors locking behind you. But the host was very kind and understanding.

Thin walls so could easily hear the bathroom, but came prepared with ear plugs. The kitchen filled up quickly so could be a bit tight and don't believe it had a sink in there but there was one close by in the corridor!

Das Bunkhouse war sehr schön gelegen in einem ehemaligen Women‘s Institute. Die Anweisung zum Check in waren klar (aber Achtung, kein Internet im Ort, vorher Anweisungen als Foto aufbewahren). Es gab auch Essen mit einer Vertrauenskasse. Die Räume waren sauber und da ich allein war, war es auch sehr ruhig. Das Bad war ganz neu.

Das Thema Zimmerschlüssel hat mich sehr beschäftigt. Wenn versehentlich die Zimmertür ins Schloss fällt, könnte man nicht mehr hinein kommen und es ist niemand im Gebäude. Wenn man kein Telefon bei sich hat, könnte man sich nicht mal Hilfe holen. Das Bunkhouse ist sehr weit weg vom Hadrian‘s Wall und es gibt leider keine Informationen über Zubringer mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.
