Bella's Backpackers Hostel

Location is great.

Now let's be totally honest. If you are young and into partying and don't mind careless people around you, the place is perfectly fine but I didn't like that reckless party vibe and there wasn't much sense of community unless you are part of a group/boozing.

The location and the snorkelling tour from the hostel were the only two redeeming factors to our stay. You are only 4 or so streets away from the split and are very close to good restaurants. Similarly the snorkelling tour was great, with Eldan, who genuinely made it feel like we were properly looked after.

The staffs commitment to they jobs is appalling. They were lazy and somewhat standoffish towards all guests. Similarly the rooms are just crammed with unsturdy beds, with the bed layout being really poor within Room A.

Location was nice, 4 bed dorm was a nice size and they had lots of (expensive) activities. Hammocks were so nice to chill in and kitchen was fully equipped

Honestly the male staff were a bit overly familiar with all the girls, there were only 2 showers for everyone downstairs so always had to queue and the rum punch was lethal so go steady on the drinks

Has such potential, could be a nice hostel

Staff were absolutely awful, didn’t care at all about guests, slept with guests, one of them punched a guest during Sunday fun day! Never any water, bad kitchen, mosquitoes everywhere including in rooms, no organised activities, was here over Xmas day and no effort was made to organise anything for guests over Christmas, probably the worst hostel I’ve stayed in on my trip

Pretty hostel in a good location. It seemed to be the most affordable place on the island, but remained pricey. They provided us a full water tank in the room as we were staying three days, which is nice but should be standard even for the dorms (they only provide 3 x 20L tanks per day, which is ridiculous given the low cost for them).

Very very noisy place, with people partying and chatting until 2am despite the quiet hours starting at 11pm. The staff isn't there to keep the volume down, and completely dismissed our complaints when we mentioned it to them. We rented one of the private rooms (hoping to be more quiet), but it's in the middle of the yard and has no wall/window, on a netting which lets all the noise in. The kitchen is fine, but make sure you cook outside of peak hours as there is only one stove for the whole hostel (around 50 people). The fridge is also way too small for that amount of guests.

The location and it being affordable are great! The hostel has a style, which is nice too. The people who work there were really nice and helpful!

Great location, dorms are clean and beds are very comfy. Super kind and helpful staff that make you feel welcome from the start. Really good vibe and their tours are also great.

Great location in the centre and the vibe is good here.

We paid for a private room just for a night, the room was actually within a dorm room which was a bit misleading. As was just for a night was fine but if you're looking for privacy was misleading. The room was also a lot smaller than the picture and we paid quite a lot. There were only 2 showers in the whole place and they were dirty with no light :/
