The receptionist who checked me in, the African looking young woman was incredibly rude. The attitude was that she was doing me a favor by checking me in. The dorms are way too crowded and noisy. Dirty as well.

I had a wonderful stay at Bella's Backpackers (I stayed for 5 nights). The hostel is located just off the main strip and is a 5 minute walk to the Split. There is a very friendly atmosphere in the hostel and it is very easy to meet people and to mix. The Sunday Funday was a highlight from my time in Central America. There are kayaks that are free to use and it was lovely to explore the area from the water. The rooms were comfortable and clean (thanks to Flores who cleaned them daily). I had no AC, but it was okay due to the amount of fans in the room. There is a big locker provided for each person. The kitchen is well equipped. There is usually free drinking water in the kitchen. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The common dinner was nice. The kitchen was a plus.

They were building something in the inner yard, making a lot of noise all day making our stay unpleasant since we couldn't relax. I would have hoped the staff would have informed us in advance about their plans. The rusty cat sleeping on my pillow at night was "unlucky" 🐈‍⬛ Lots of hair in the shower

Bathrooms weren’t that great. Probably an island wide sewer issue.

Good hostel! Nice people and safe! There was never any drinking water in the kitchen though 😞

No ladders for bunk beds nor curtains? Seriously? Kitchen needs to be more clean. Housekeeping Staff very rude. Girls at reception were nice The pier is cute but the ladder needs maintenance, its way too rusty and full of moho They dont allow you to wear shoes at the kitchen so forget about getting ready and clean to go out and eat: you will end up all covered in sand again. Nice town, but the hostel needs more love.

We booked the private deluxe ensuite room with a/c it was very comfortable, quiet and there was hot water too! The location was hard to beat, right in the middle of all the action. It was also lovely to chill on the dock out back and watch the sunset and chat with other quests every evening. I also loved the hostel kitties.

Honestly, my only issue was the amount of sand we would track into the room. A small broom would be handy to sweep it all back out.
