The staff on the site was kind but they did not have my booking so I did not stay there.

I paid in full when I booked this. I received the check-in instructions from Alberts through my Booking.com account on the morning of the check-in day. The message asked me to call or message Mya 30 minutes before check-in, so I sent a message to Mya before I arrived at Alberts. I had the 4 PIN code from the instructions, but the code did not work. I called Mya, but the number was disconnected. A lady sitting near me told me that the owner of Alberts had changed, so Mya was no longer there. She tried to help me and called a male staff at Alberts. He confirmed that they did not have my booking, but he tried to find a bed for me and asked me to call him back in half an hour. He later sent me a text message that my bed was ready. My booking was for 1 bed in a 6-bed female dormitory. When I arrived at Alberts again, a female staff member showed me my bed. However, it was actually a very small room with only one bunk bed (two single beds). Another female guest was already living in the room, and many of her belongings were spread throughout the tiny space. There was also a strong perfume smell mixed with other odors. The staff member was kind to me, but I have allergies to many things, and strong perfume is one of my triggers, especially in such a small room. Because of this, I could not stay there. The booking.com fully refunded this booking. The new Alberts staff never spoke to me about the payment, which made me feel very ?? and confused about whether they really had my booking at all. We were attending a children’s dance Eisteddfod in Innisfail, and I missed to watch half of one session because of this booking problem. Two other dance families also told me about their experiences with Alberts from last year. One family said their booking could not be found and they did not get their room until midnight, while another family had to sleep in two separate rooms.I really want to know why this accommodation is still being listed on Booking.com and Airbnb despite these??

Très mauvaise expérience dans cet établissement, surtout au vu du prix payé. À notre arrivée, personne à l’accueil et aucune instruction pour accéder à notre chambre. Les numéros de téléphone fournis étaient invalides et il était impossible de joindre qui que ce soit, ce qui a rendu l’arrivée très stressante. Les espaces communs étaient extrêmement sales : cheveux et poils dans les douches, tables à manger sales, éviers qui débordaient avec des restes de nourriture. Les toilettes étaient également très sales et il n’y avait pas de papier toilette pendant tout le séjour. La salle frigorifique dégageait une odeur nauséabonde très désagréable. De plus, le personnel ainsi que certains clients ne respectaient absolument pas le calme dans les couloirs des dortoirs : bruit et musique dès 5h du matin. Impossible de se reposer correctement. Pour un tarif aussi élevé, cette expérience est inacceptable. Nous ne recommandons absolument pas cet établissement.

Absolutely Nothing. It is not a backpackers. It more a housing commission establishment for misplaced locals. It should be removed from booking.com immediately.

there is no way you could share a room in the backpackers. It is very unsafe, unclean , I dont think you would even be able to have a room. on arrival, the code was incorrect and a local passing by opened the door. the safe code was correct, however there were no keys in the safe, as there is no manager on site, we called the numbers with no answer or response, we had no option but to find alternate accommodation, which we would have had to even if there was a room available as it was exceptionally unsafe and revolting.

La localización del Hostel, las literas y el aire acondacionado.

Hay un sólo baño para más de 30 posibles huéspedes. Los cajones para guardar las cosas estaban bastante sucios. La recepción por parte del personal es casi anecdótica.

Great hostel located in the main street of the town. Very helpful staff making an effort to ensure I got a bottom bunk, which I previously requested. On-site parking is a bonus. Clean rooms and private beds with a small ledge to charge the phone and has a soft light.

There were no staff members on site most all the time, although contactable by phone.
