"Reasonably price-worthy youth hostel when travelling as a family by car."

Easy access by own car, and convenient to drive to both Borlänge and Falun and close to Ornässtugan. Spacious common areas. Conference facilities. Downstairs and upstairs kitchen that can be used by guests. Reasonably spacious rooms with en suite shower/wc. Free parking. Nice countryside surroundings. Check-in by door code and key box worked fine when no staff is around.

Not much to do for small children. Bathrooms are well maintained but quite dated and small (1980's renovation?). Upstairs communal kitchen rather small. Poor wifi inside the room.

"We just had a stopover stay but the Vassbo was very good and it would be nice to stay longer."

We thought we were getting breakfast as we did last year, but there was no breakfast. Last year there was a very nice buffet. I was therefore expecting breakfast to be included which was disappointing and I am not sure why this happened.

Quiet and friendly hotel near the lake Only 15 mins from Falun. Good check in after hours. Clean and comfortable and good value with good breakfast

"So nice I booked to stay a second night"

So nice I booked to stay a second night. It is a well maintained, warm and comfortable hostel (formerly accommodation for an agricultural college). Has all the facilities I needed including a well equipped kitchen . I enjoyed walking around the grounds and the local farmland.

Well, I would have liked to have paid a little less, but it was high season and the hostel was full - so I guess the price, in local terms, was appropriate.

Clean and nice room with garden view and a glimpse of the lake. Nice staff and great common areas (kitchen etc). Beautiful surroundings incl. lake and garden.
