Paradise Galle

The host was very kind and hospitable. We utilized the laundry option and did a load of clothes for 700rps. The property was pleasant. Communication with the host was easy and he was always willing to answer questions. I hosted two other friends and we enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable. I was able to leave my bags after checking out and wander around Galle. Comfortable, clean (after inspecting), and safe. Would stay again. Well worth the investment. Thank you.

Be certain to inspect room and bathroom for cleanliness. The first room the host offered was not the room we reserved. He then took us to the correct room - 2 beds - one bed was not clean - a few small stains and several hairs - I asked for a new sheet. He quickly obliged. Then I could hear him cleaning the shared bathroom. The host corrected any issues and was always very accommodating. It’s location is a little over 2km from city center, but there are signs and it is very clear about where the guesthouse is.

I liked the location because it was just 2 km from Fort Galle. And one of the staff members tried his best.

First of all, I would like to start with the intention behind booking this place. I needed a budget-friendly stay with facilities such as a kitchen, WiFi (as I was working), a washing machine, and the possibility to order breakfast, given that the property supposedly had a restaurant (which, in reality, does not exist). I required all these facilities for my planned 20-day stay. Technically, these facilities are available, but when I asked to use the kitchen, I found it full of mold and dirt. In this case, I was asked to pay 200 LKR for gas, and an additional 700 LKR for the washing machine, which eventually was replaced with a bucket for cleaning my clothes. There was a lack of proper hospitality. Wifi was limited and the day I wanted to join my work meetings it was not possible, because apparently all data was used and over. The owner`s son added some GBs but I was not sure how dependent that will be so navigated with my own roaming data and working in cafes. In the end I shortened my stay, and obtaining a refund turned into quite an adventure. The property lacks the facility to provide refunds to a bank account, and there was insufficient cash on the property to cover the amount I needed. In the end, I had to pick up my own money in Colombo from the workplace of the owner's son and received less than the agreed-upon amount. Upon questioning, he admitted the mistake, apologised after some time, but it raises concerns about how they handle hospitality business. There were more smaller happenings, but I am not bothered to mention it as it is already very long negative review and it is enough to understand what kind of hotel it is. To be honest, the place could be cute and cozy, but there seems to be no effort to keep in proper condition. I was patient with some things, but at some point, I couldn't handle it anymore, and I believe everyone should understand the reality of the condition and service this property offers.

Only outside location.

Wrong information given on booking.com, it is hostel with dirty rooms. After reaching there found there is no Bathroom items in the room. Guy at the reception insisted to pay before showing room which itself has created doubt. Not recommended for family. When asked about the room for which photos are posted on booking.com, way of talk changed. I have put the video with mosquito sitting on bed with dirty floor and area. This is the highest paying room. So you can imagine situation

I have stayed here for all my Sri Lankan visits so have probably stayed here 8 or 9 times. I love the area, the locals are friendly and there is little traffic. It's close to the Mahomodara hospital if required. Short walk to amenities such as supermarket, coffee shop, train and bus stations. Bus in Colombo direction on main road.

Owners are great. . Breakfasts superb Location is on bus route to colombo and all stops in between

Nice owner, walk distance to the railway, bus station and the fort, best breakfast to me ever since I have entered Srilanka, room is fair to the price

big cozy room in a huge house. this beautiful family waited for us until late night to check in, the next day was new year in sri lanka, and knowing that everything would be closed, they invited us such a tasty breakfast with fruits, rice and vegetables...and their dog is so cute! we were able to use the kitchen. good location too, i liked the neighbourhood.

The place is very nice, the hosts were very kind.. I loved the beautiful smile of the lady from the house.
