The One Hostel Hongdae in Seoul - Foreigner Only

The smell was a little bit bad especially in the fourth floor.

The dtaff was very kind and the rooms were clean and the location is very centerly

The stairs if you stay here there is dozens of stairs that you should take :( it would be good if there were elevator or some help for the baggage cuz i literally cried while i took off my baggage

Great location in the middle of Hongdae and metro station with in walking distance

No staff available. Check in done by volunteer travellers who give basic information about the property and not much more. No organisation in the running of the hostel. Currently feels less like a managed hostel and more like a squat house. Bathrooms damaged, in need of repair and a general upgrade. Only two bathrooms for the whole hostel and no separate toilet. Beds are old and really noisy, need upgrading to more modern standards. Common area feels more like the volunteers staff room than a common area. Common room extremely untidy and cluttered with laundry drying and stored all over the room.

The location was very good. The communal area has a cozy atmosphere and comfortable seats.

The vibe was a bit weird and the bunk beds were quite old and wobbly which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The lack of any attachment for the shower head in the bathroom was a bit weird too.

Nothing at all

The hostel is run by a group of french people that doesn't care at all about the place or guests, pictures are not accurate, everything is a mess, the staff is the laziest I ever seen, they don't even bother cleaning the floor even when there is dead cockroaches on it. Staff are coughing all the time, specially one of the guys, coughing every ten seconds, never wearing a mask. That same guy was brushing his teeth and spit out everything on the kitchen sink with plates and cutlery. They made you wear this disgusting sandals to use in the bathroom that are never washed, you have to share them with all the staff and others guests, they are full of mold, same with everything in the bathroom all covered with mold. This is the most disgusting place I ever been and the most irresponsible staff ever, incredible really, I can't believe there is people that can live in those conditions. Don't come to this horrible place, you will not have a good time, or even sleep well, they don't put covers on the pillows or change the sheets, this place is worst that a jail.
