Cheerful Hoi An Hostel

Hien is amazing, nothing short of an incredible stay, highly recommend this Homestay if you're in Hoi An

Cheerful Hostel was a great, relaxed home stay style hostel. Our private room was very comfortable and the breakfast each morning was delicious (we even got a full pork Bahn Mi one morning - yum!) We absolutely loved how much time the owner of the hostel took to give us recommendations for things to do in Hoi An - the tailor, Vietnamese cooking class and the Bahn Mi place that she recommended were all amazing! Definitely a more low key vibe and not a party hostel which we enjoyed.

The hostel was a about a 20 minute walk from the old town - not a biggie!

Location was good, and easily accessible. Not in the city so had a relaxing time. Best part was the local food tour given by the host. Host is very cooperative, kind and jolly person. Reasonable prices, rooms were clean and neat. Free breakfast. Also the fresh coconut coffee she gives you on your welcome.

I would really recommend this hostel. Dieu Hien our Hostel mom welcomed me with open arms. The rooms are big and very clean. The showers are also really nice. Our hostel mom made sure that we had a great experience giving us good tips of what to do and we did a food tour all together. She makes an amazing fresh breakfast personally served with love. The location is also good, close to the center. The hostel has bicycles that you can use.

Hien was such a great host, she made us feel at home right away and welcomed us with tea and homemade cookies. She gave us some really good tips on what to do and where to go in Hoi An. The vegetarian pho we had at the family lunch here was actually the best we had so far and Hien even made us some veggie Banh My's to take on our night bus when we left

Hien is the most wonderful host you can imagine! She even cooked for us and helped us to book our flight to Da Lat

I had the best time at Cheerful Hoi An Hostel. The owner is the nicest lady. She helped us with the best experiences and had a lot of recommendations for our trip in Hoi An. Our room was extremely spacious and great. I met so many great people over there, had so many meaningful conversations with and the owner and other travelers. If I ever get the chance to go back, I will for 100% stay at this place again. She even prepared goodbye breakfasts for us, I can’t eat gluten and she prepared a pancake based on rice flower for me, which was the absolute best.

Definitely book this place if you are staying in Hoi an!! Hein is the most lovely lady and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and at home whilst staying here! She helped us with any questions we had and organised a cooking class for us all! She even took us out on a street food tour which was so so yummy! Breakfast was great and the rooms were comfortable and spacious! Highly recommend!

You will be treated not just as guests if you stay here, but as a family member. The owner is a lovely lady who really gets to know you and we met a number of other guests too! Upon arrival there was a slot that same day to do a food making class in vietnamese style as well as the coconut boats. A spontaneous fun day! We loved the place so much that we extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights, getting in more activities. Our room was very very spacious with 2 double beds to spread all our backpack belongings. We are very grateful for the overall experience of staying here and not just the rooms. Memories to take away
