Sundaze Samet Hostel & Hangout

Fun little set up and in the most excellent location in the middle of the main street. Loved the seating area out the front, a great spot to sit and watch the world go by with a book. The guy that runs it is so lovely and friendly!

I wasn't a huge fan of the shower situation, it's just shower curtains and isn't lockable cubicles like you'd get in most hostels. Totally personal preference but I would have preferred either lockable doors, or for the shower blocks to be split into male and female. Other than that everything was great!

Great hosts, as a solo traveler they made me feel very welcome. Thanks for letting me spend New Year’s Eve with you and your family. My only regret is not getting to say goodbye when I left. Will stay again next visit.

The wooden door to the bed gives you a sense of privacy - it's like being in your own tiny room! In general, everything was great! Great owners and the people who lived in the hostel were so great too! Nice place with a nice vibe)

The bed has a lot of space and privacy, and the dorm and the bathroom was clean and fresh. The staff was very kind and nice people

Location, location, location...! The port and several 7/11s are in walking distance and maybe more importantly, many beautiful beaches too, with restaurants and a food court nearby. I got a very warm welcome, comfortable sleeping pod and mattress that gave some privacy, plus the owner provided a padlock for a large locker to store my personal belongings. The shower and toilet facilities were clean and I never had to queue to use them. The air conditioning/fan system works very well and the hostel was cool day and night. The hostel is small and perfectly formed: only 10 guests can stay at one time which means it has a chilled vibe. There is a bar area where you can sit and bring your own drinks which is really convenient and there is also a book swap library. The owner speaks English fluently and is very friendly :-)

The signposting for the hostel could be a bit clearer but there was nothing at all to complain about for the price and I look forward to returning in a few weeks for NYE :-)
