“I had a great stay at Indian Culture Hostel in Rishikesh. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and located in a peaceful area. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The atmosphere was welcoming, and it was easy to meet other travelers. The rooms and common areas were well maintained. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Rishikesh.”

Very calming atmosphere, the gardens surrounding the hotel really drown out the noise of rishikesh. The rooms were comfy and spacious, clean bathrooms. We booked the loft & one double room - what I would say is that the loft couch bed option is more single occupancy than double. For breakfast, food was great and all homemade, with vegan options too, copious portions. We found our comfy spot in the little cabana area beneath the trees which is so nice and offers a view of the mountains. It was so nice coming back to this hotel after a warm overwhelming day. Overall this hotel is a great find and I would recommend to friends travelling to Rishikesh.

Whilst the stay was great I just want to say that the staff wasn’t necessarily the best. The man at the reception didn’t understand enough english and at times didn’t care. We asked to book rafting proposed at reception and he told us to just walk into the street. Same for a taxi they were no help for booking any taxis. We asked to extend checkout for just one hour after rafting so we could shower and they refused for both rooms. There were several confusions with payments. And when we complained about noise in the room next to us nothing was done to quiet the room or to apologise to us they just didn’t care. No apology or gesture nothing. So I would say this is the point they need to improve on, overall reception staff. Breakfast staff was kind.

The cafe has really good food, love the common area and there is potential for more.

I just really didn’t like the staff, found the men just a bit weird as they stare a lot, apart from one who helped me get comfortable after my long night bus and was very respectful, the others were not engaged. They checked me in, hardly spoke to me, didn’t help with bags, give a tour of the place etc basic thing you expect from a hostel, and even if not, at least a friendly comfortable atmosphere would be great. I didn’t feel super comfortable as a solo female traveller I would have stayed elsewhere

The only good thing was the location, near to Lakshaman Jhula

As per reviews on Google we chose this property. But to very surprise cleanliness was not maintained, staff not so professional, no good services, food not available.totally opposite what we saw on Google n booking.com reviews. Very bad experience.

The property was really good - clean, full of greenery, etc. Cafe food was good. Walking distance from Garud bridge and market. Will love to visit again.

Receptionist behaviour was a bit rude and unfriendly. They are not much comfortable assisting on calls. Although owner's behaviour was good. They need to keep welcoming receptionist.

Location,clean and pretty rooms.

During a heavy rainstorm, our room developed a roof leak, forcing us to relocate in the middle of the night. The hotel arranged accommodation at another property for the night, and we were given a different room the following day. While the issue was eventually resolved, having to move during heavy rain in the middle of the night was a significant inconvenience and negatively affected our stay. What was particularly disappointing was the staff's attitude throughout our stay. There was little sense of empathy, and no apology was offered for the disruption caused. Even at check-out, no one acknowledged the inconvenience we had experienced or thanked us for our patience and understanding. Better communication and a more customer-focused response would have gone a long way toward improving an otherwise frustrating experience.
