"Very good"

The location is great and the communal areas (both inside and on the terraces) are lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a blender and a coffee machine.

The triple room is pretty grim with no external window and poor ventilation. The double rooms upstairs look lovely.

"A place like home"

8.0

Emilio was friendly and shared Mexican culture, always attentive and great to chat with. The location is near the city center yet quiet, with a kitchen for cooking and even having bikes for rental. It’s good to travel with bike and easy to reach some cenotes.

The hot water could be warmer, but it was fine due to the warm weather. Upgrading the system would improve safety and comfort.

"Disappointing"

4.0

- staff was very kind - check out at 12 give you the chance to take it easy - bike for free - free drinkable water

I booked this hostel to be far from the chaos and loud music but: - music until 3 in the night, it sounds like to have a concert in the room - music from the reception at 7 in the morning - cheap breakfast (50 pesos) but they pre-cook the eggs and they were completely dry - heavy humidity in the room, I got sick and dyshidrosis in hands and feet (never had before)

"Homely and traditional family run hostel"

8.0

Lovely hosts who were very welcoming, very friendly and helpful - some really good tips. A cute room, which was comfy, cool in the heat, great balcony looking over the pretty church yard, and traditional style. Best shower we had on our trip so far. Lovely bright covered balcony outside the room. Fresh water always available. Very authentic hostel, in a quieter part of town, not too far from the main square and which felt like home.

There was nothing really that we didn't like. It was a traditional, family-run hostel, so not with brand new, modern amenities, and this made it feel homely and comfortable. Our only suggestion would maybe be an upgrade to the taps in the kitchen sink.

"Like staying with a Mexican family"

7.0

Friendly, helpful, English speaking staff. Hostel is a Mexican house in a Mexican neighborhood across from a big church and public square. It’s almost like staying with a local family. Bicycles for rent.

It’s a pretty basic place, you’re not staying here for luxury. It’s also a ten minute walk from the main square.

"Highly recommend a stay at this hostel."

8.0

Firstly, Emilio was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He assisted many times with questions and information saving me lots of time and pesos! He speaks very good English and was very encouraging when I tried to speak to him in Spanish. Nothing was too much trouble. Room is a good size, comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast is tasty with plenty of tea, coffee and water. Hostal is about 10 mins walk into the main square. They also have bikes you can use. 2 v good taco/tocas stands on the corner of where the hostal is. Laundry round the corner. It’s a quiet place , which was perfect for me.

Bathroom towels need updating, they were a bit too thin and hard.
