Hostal Las Cruces

I really enjoyed this hostel. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet location. Clean place with traditional Mexican vibe. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Each bed has a good size locker with lock and keys included. Bunk beds have curtains for privacy. You also get a towel free of charge. Bikes available, on the house, you just pay a very small maintenance fee. They also rent scooters. Last but not least, the breakfast is included. This hostel offers such excellent value for the money. I highly recommend it.!

The staff is very attentive, nice and helpful. The breakfast is good, there's something different every day and they even clean the dishes for you after breakfast, they serve good drip coffee instead of nescafe. The kitchen has everything and is extremely clean and well-organised. There's free drinking water, the showers have good pressure and the best warm-water system I've ever encountered in Latin-American (at least in one dorm). The dorms have their own bathrooms and there is an extra toilet outside in the hall. The beds have curtains and lamps and are comfortable and clean. The rooftop terraces are very nice and offer space to hang clothes. The decoration is really nice and fits the name of the hostel. Quiet area (for Mexican standards ;), but still close to the center.

Some hammocks would be nice, although I suppose this is more of a hostel for people working remotely than a leisure place. In one dorm the AC is directly next to the bed, so it can't really be used when the bed is occupied. There isn't a lot of space to put it somewhere else, though. The front dorm gets a bit noisy when there's commotion in the hall.

Nice design - all about crosses (as name implies), and just next to the unusual church (though a bit far from city center). All guys on reception speak good English and are very polite and helpful. Wide balcony

Very handy location on a side street close to the center, bus station, etc. Very nice and professional staff full of solid local knowledge. Bike rentals that can get you to cenotes and center. Well worth the $ and a fine Valla base for exploring the area on the cheap.

We stayed 4 nights in Las Cruces hostel and really loved our time here. Emilio and staff are so friendly and gave us lots of great tips on which cenotes to go to (the less touristy ones). While we were there Emilio also organised a posada navideña (Christmas dinner) with everyone staying in the hostel. The breakfast was amazing, and different each day - we especially loved the pancakes with maple syrup. The hostel is small and peaceful with a lovely terrace and lounge area. The kitchen is clean, very well equipped and organised too. We couldn’t have asked for a better hostel to stay in during our time in Valladolid. Would definitely recommend!Thank you 😊

Great host and great breaky, even offered to accommodate earlier breakfast as we had plans early in the morning. I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Chichen Itza.

Not super sociable as it’s quite small, but for a couple perfect for what we needed.

The employees are very welcoming and helpful in everything. The room was spacious and the outside spaces are amazing.

There was a problem with the hot water on our first day but it was fixed right away. I would say that the main negative point would be the location for someone traveling using the bus. If you are not expecting to rent a car or a bike or book tours, expect 15 to 20 minutes walking to all bus related stops.
