Giljanes Hostel

It's obvious that the owner Kristian loves what he does, he stops by, chats with the guests, remembers little details. Je created a place where you feel well after a long day. I liked especially the atmosphere in the common room with the kitchen. The cat Felix was definitely the boss here, coming and leaving whenever he wanted. 😁 The kitchen was very well equiped as well. The place is just few meters from the bus stop, which is perfect.

Maybe a little desk or a cupboard in the twin rooms would be nice.

The location is very good for access to supermarkets and some of the main sights on Vagur. The atmosphere is lovely with lots of people to meet. Christian is very welcoming and sociable.

The bathroom facilities need some upgrading and the whole kitchen needs a deep clean and reorganising. The free food needs to be cleared out on a regular basis and clearly marked.

Staff is helpful and friendly. The view is really nice. Very close to the bus stop Just 15 mins bus from airport. The vibe in the hostel is nice.

The utensils in kitchen are sticky and dirty. The overall hygiene really need improvement. The buck bed, linen are quite old and worn out. Mattress looks used for a long time.

Very busy place with both hostel stayers and campers using the same facilities.

Jestem bardzo zadowolony, że wybrałem Giljanes Hostel. Kristjan okazał się ogromną pomocą, we wszystkim doradzał i robi świetną robotę, bardzo życzliwy człowiek. Kuchnia jest duża i bez problemu można przygotować posiłki o dowolnej porze. Łóżka są wygodne, dobrze się wysypiałem, a liczba toalet i pryszniców jest wystarczająca, nigdy nie musiałem czekać długo. Super opcją jest możliwość zrobienia prania, bardzo to ułatwia pobyt. Widok z okna jest cudny, a lokalizacja świetna, blisko lotnisko oraz przystanki autobusów 300 i 350. Jeśli ktoś łapie stopa, to u mnie zajmowało to maksymalnie dziesięć minut. Atmosfera w hostelu jest rodzinna i przytulna, wieczorami można posiedzieć w dużej wspólnej przestrzeni połączonej z kuchnią. Początkowo byłem zaskoczony, że hostel i pokoje nie są zamykane, ale szybko zauważyłem, że wszyscy zostawiają telefony i rzeczy na widoku i jest bezpiecznie. Jest czysto, sprzątają często, jak na liczbę gości to robi wrażenie.

Jedyny minus to brak szafki w pokoju. Zamiast krzesła przydałoby się jakieś miejsce do przechowywania, bo przy dłuższym pobycie trudno trzymać wszystko w walizce.
