"All good!"

10.0

Beautiful common area with everything you need. Good location, couple of hikes just a short drive or walk away. I had planned on staying here at the beginning and end of my trip to the Faroe Islands but had to change that plan last minute. Despite not having chosen the Flex Booking with a possibility for cancelation, the Host agreed to cancel my second stay with them without any fee. It's always much appreciated when Hosts acknowledge that plans change and accommodate that, so thank you very much again!

The bathrooms/toilets/showers were sufficiently clean, but overall they could use a little love and a little renovation. The top bunk beds just really need a little shelf for your glasses/phone/contacts/whatever. Tiny little detail that should be easy to fix and I'm sure many would appreciate.

"A hidden gem in the Faroe Islands — not for comfort, but for the soul"

10.0

A hidden gem in the Faroe Islands — not for comfort, but for the soul Let me be honest: Hostel Giuliani is not fancy. It’s not new, it’s not polished, and it won’t win any design awards. But if you’re looking for that rare travel experience that stays with you long after you leave, this is it. In a place where hotels charge $300 a night, Giuliani offers a bed for around $30 — and what you get for that price goes far beyond four walls and a pillow. The moment you walk in, Christian and the owners make you feel like you’ve known them for years. There’s no front desk coldness, no transactional energy — just warmth, genuine hospitality, and a family atmosphere that’s increasingly rare in today’s travel world. Guests become friends, strangers become family, and by the end of your stay you forget you’re paying at all. Yes, if you need a four-star mattress and a rain shower, look elsewhere. But if you want to experience the Faroe Islands the way they should be experienced — authentically, warmly, and without breaking the bank — Hostel Giuliani is the only place to be. A true hidden gem.

Let me be honest: the beds are old and wooden, and won’t win any comfort awards. If you need that perfect springy mattress to sleep well, you might toss and turn a little. That’s genuinely the only thing I’d flag — and in the grand scheme of what this place offers, it’s a small price to pay. Bottom line Everything that matters is taken care of — the place is well heated, hot water is always there, and the essentials are solid. Yes, if you need a rain shower and a four-star mattress, look elsewhere. But if you want to experience the Faroe Islands the way they should be experienced — authentically, warmly, and without breaking the bank — Hostel Giuliani is the only place to be. A true hidden gem.

"Okay deal for budget travellers"

6.0

Specious kitchen Comfy beds

It's not a hostel. It's more like a lodge for campers. The rooms are too small. Also the kitchen wasn't very clean. If you're traveling on a budget maybe it's for you.

Close to Vagar airport, just 15 minutes away by public bus. Very convenient and inexpensive temporary accommodation. Kristjan, the host, was very welcoming and friendly and his cat Felix is the boss! Make sure you bring something to eat or cook (there is a kitchen) as there are no dining options close by.

"Cosy space with welcoming hosts !"

6.0

Welcoming place with nice hosts ! Good kitchen and hang out space .

The room smells like sweat the whole time . Not sure if the mattress was the culprit . Toilets for showering could have more privacy and better lighting .
