Philly Coed Dorm!! 15 Min Train to Center City!!

There is nothing to like a about this dump, far from city, rude and threatening staff who runs it.

Do not book here unless you want to being homeless. Rude, condescending (to put it mildly) host named Ki threatened to kick me out the moment I arrived. I paid for a 6 person room, and he put me in 12 person dorm. When I politely raised it to his attention, he said "All the rooms are the same" (lie #1) and "All the rooms are the same price (lie #2). Not true, obviously larger dorm rooms are cheaper about $10/night. Then he accused me of being "rude" and "disturbing other guests" just because I was trying to have a conversation with him (I never raised my voice once and apologized for disturbing anyone). He then forcibly walked me out, told me to "get out" and said he was going to cancel my reservation! I calmly asked if I could show him the booking. "No." He kept refusing even to let me talk (the kind of person who talks over you and doesn't let you speak). He then forced me outside, rudely walking away from me, as I repeatedly begged calmly to just please look at what I booked or discuss anything. "No, I'm not interested in anything you have to say" and "No, I don't want to see the booking." He finally relented, put me in a 6 person room, then made extra effort to act like a complete jerk every time he could, finding every opportunity he could to nitpick every little thing I did to make my stay as unpleasant as possible. I literally avoided him the entire time and barely spoke 5 words to him. At 10:38am, I was sitting in the common area, and he came up to me and said he "Check out is at 11am but you can leave now" and that he "reported me to Booking.com". I said, "You reported me for what, for asking for the room that I paid for?" In 25+ yrs hosteling, I've never had a more unpleasant experience. This guy made an extra effort to hold a personal vendetta against me from the moment I arrived.

Communication with the property was excellent!

Realised I didn't have the address to check in. But communication was excellent!

So nasty place

Location is very close to a train station that leads to the center of the city. One of the staff members, Ki, was incredibly kind.

The place was pretty filthy. My mattress had bed bugs and I had to leave a day earlier to stay somewhere else as I kept getting bit. Saw a rat several times while staying. Shower has mold growing in it.
