Albergue GBC Caldas

Unmanned reception. I arrived after 6pm and couldn’t get in. I was left outside in the rain for over an hour before I eventually got a response from the host. Which was a mouthful. Telling me off for not responding to their messages sent only hours earlier. My eSIM had been playing up and messages weren’t getting through. I needed hot-spotting from a stranger on the street in order to message them. It was then I realised they had decided to send messages only hours earlier to ask when I was arriving. Bearing in mind I didn’t arrive that late - 6:30pm having walked 43km in one day (2 stages). Even though I had my pre check in forms done. It didn’t occur to them to simply send the access code . I needed to “request” the code. How incompetent and inconsiderate. As a few people have noted, I will certainly not recommend this place if doing the Camino. It will put a downer on your experience.

Very poor guest liaison. No information. Unmanned reception. Overly impolite host. The light in the sitting area turns off after a few minutes even when people are sat there. In the end, we all had dinner in the dark as it was frustrating having to get up each time to activate the sensors

Las literas no eran muy comodas. A parte las taquillas para guardar tus cosas eran muy pequeñas y no cavia casi nada

Nowoczesny hostel z łóżkami piętrowymi lux. Duże łazienki, duża kuchnia, piękny ogród i mały basen. Świetne miejsce na trasie Camino.

Freundlich, alles da, viele Waschmaschinen! Ein Garten mit Liegen, sehr herrlich und angenehme Betten

Perfetto per il cammino di Santiago. Dotato di tutto ciò che occorre.
