The stairs are a downfall i don't think an elderly person can stay there

Great breakfast included, nice clean rooms with air con, convenient location within Stone Town close to attractions and shops, friendly staff

Stairs are a bit steep so may require additional help if you have large luggage

Very Staff. Located in the middle of Stone Town. Good breakfast at the Shoki Shoki Hotel. 24h Access due to friendly Maasai guard. All in all 10/10 definitely would recommend.

Steep stairs not wheelchair accessible. Also steep bunk beds.

Breakfast was delicious, room is very comfortable and the price is very good.

Poco Customer service,, abbiamo utilizzato il servizio lavanderia regolarmente pagato, alcuni capi erano sporchi, ci è stato detto che non potevano fare nulla né rimborso né rilavare i capi .

My two teenage children and I had the family room at the top of two very steep but short staircases. The large room was very clean and had a bunk bed and a queen as well. Both were very comfortable. There is a table with chairs, side tables and lots of shelves for laying out clothes and things. They provided glass bottles of water that could be filled from the dispenser in the hall. So nice to not have plastic water bottles. The location is right in the old town and the sounds of streets can be heard as well as the church bells and call to prayer. Even though the booking information it was mentioned that I would be staying at the guest house not the hotel with the same name I ended up at the wrong one. Staff was helpful in directing us to the right place which was a 4 minute walk away. I edited this post to add that breakfast is plentiful and delicious with great coffee. It is however located back in the other hotel a short walk away.

It would be even better if there were a kettle and tea/coffee, kleenex, hand towels, phone to call down, safe deposit box, side lamps, separate shower. In the center of the room is an AC and a ceiling fan but the room remained warm most of the day. It did become better in the night and we could sleep well.
