"Only if I Couldn’t find Anything Anywhere Else!!"

3.0

“LOCATION” to Anglican Shrine! We were lucky enough to get the Almost Never Available EnSuite rooms (without having to share Toilets)!!

INTERMITTENT WiFi and Extremely Weak Signal in Room. Also poor mobile phone reception! Absolutely Cheap & Nasty Breakfast. Breakfast is from 8-9am (Very RESTRICTIVE) No Parking. I got an allergic reaction (probably to Dust) after Having to remove Bedding on Departure! Emergency Phone Doesn’t Work in Lift!! Gates “Locked” after about 11pm. Cannot get in/out (if you needed to get something from your car)!! Lunch & Dinner has to be paid for & purchased in Advance!! I misUnderstood it to be a “Meal Allowance” in the price of the Accommodation!

"Peaceful setting but work being carried out made it less quiet when walking around after breakfast."

10.0

Very peaceful setting for my elderly mum and I, the twin beds were very comfy.

My elderly mum's mobility is very difficult so because there's no parking within the grounds or outside I had to leave her in a safe place to pick her up and drop her off and venture into the extremely dark car park on my own. Parking for one night was £7 but a bit of a walk for someone who has these difficulties sadly. The lack of TVs was a good thing but difficult and different I like to listen to the news each morning. The lovely breakfast however makes up for it along with the peaceful lovely gardens.

"Peaceful stay but some room for improvement"

7.0

Lovely grounds, comfy beds!

There was a note that we had to remove the bedding before check out! Not expected in a hotel! Also, no soap in the actual shower, you had to exit the shower to get it as it was by the sink!

"A lovely place but they haven’t invested nearly enough in their accommodation."

6.0

Relaxing and peaceful ambience and food and service was very good.

The accommodation was basic and, I felt, poorly furnished. No desk.table and very tired/dated other furnishings. The rooms including lounge areas were cold and although there was an electric heater in the bedroom both it and all the heaters I saw were ancient and didn’t give off a lot of heat. Given it was evidently cool weather, I expected better. Also, the plumbing is in major need of an overhaul! The noise from the pipes when you or your neighbour put the taps on was something else! For £72 a night b&b, sharing a (cold) bathroom, I’ll think twice before staying again

"We really enjoyed our stay in this exceptionally beautiful and peaceful place."

10.0

The location and the setting are exceptional, there is a very peaceful atmosphere around the place and the garden is very beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and included is a large breakfast with good coffee or tea.

The facilities are medium as you have to share and the bathtub is without a shower. A small table in the room would have been helpful.
