Guesthouse Itoya Kyoto

I couldn’t have chosen a better place where to stay while visiting Kyoto. I loved everything of this guesthouse: the beautiful and well-curated wooden house, the cleanliness, the welcoming stuff and the fact that the guests were very respectful of the quiet hours. It is also very well connected both with the city centre and the train station as there is a connecting buss just one minute walk from the guesthouse.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I had my own ryokan, which made the experience even more special. My host took great care of me and was very welcoming. There’s also a kitchen and a shared living room, which is a nice bonus. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from Kyoto Station, but it’s still easy to get around using public buses. Thanks again for having me!! ✌🏽

I wanted the traditional japanese experience and i got it! The property is beautiful and the people very nice :)

We loved our stay here in Kyoto. We stayed 3 nights in the mixed dormitories. Our beds were clean, comfortable and private, will full wrap around curtains, a lamp, and a plug. We felt right at home in the guesthouse, which was cosy and beautiful! The bathrooms and shower were outside, but had beautiful views of the japanese style gardens and were never busy.

It was a little far out from the centre of town and the nearest metro station was about 20 minutes away, however the property was served well by many buses and near a plentiful amount of shops and restaurants

It really gives off that traditional japanese house. Bed was also comfortable.

During winter season, it’s kinda difficult to use the wash area because of the cold. It is located outside the facility.
