Guesthouse Itoya Kyoto

Charmant lieu pour se reposer après une longue journée à Kyoto. Cuisine et nécessaire pour se faire à manger à disposition. Personnel adorable à qui on peut tout demander. Attention les commodités sont à l’extérieur, cela peut être un peu difficile en cas de temps froid.

Le voisin était bruyant et les murs sont fins. Ce n’est pas la faute de l’établissement

Great atmosphere and friendly host! I love the kotatsu in the common area. The earplugs provided at the counter are very useful. I got unlucky to be in the same room with a snoring person, but the earplugs easily solved the problem.

In order to get to the toilet and shower room, you do need to get out of the air-conditioned room and pass by a garden. It could be painful in the middle of the night during the winter, but I'll say it's part of the experience to live in this lovely old house :)

Absolute favourite stay of the trip. Very beautiful traditional house which has been lovingly looked after. Cleaned spotlessly, beds are very comfy and the communal spaces are great to hang out in. Clearly a lot of care and thought has gone into this space, and the hosts are super helpful and welcoming, thank you for a great stay!

As any old Japanese house is there is very little sound proofing but the property even provided earplugs for guests.

オーナーが気さくな方で、いろいろ食事場所や銭湯のことなどアドバイスしていただき大変助かりました！キッチンスペースも使うことができて、リビングにはおこたつもあり、滞在者が譲り合って使う感じがよかったです。

Lovely owners that were super facilitating in all of my questions and needs (including hiring a bike and leaving my luggage at the property on my check out day).
