The host is nice. The room is clean, good price. The location is good, many restaurants near by.

There is no AC even though the listing says so. No toiletries (it might be just a Korean thing). No vacuum cleaner.

I enjoyed living at Bestel Residence during my stay! It was quiet, safe, clean, warm, comfortable and had everything I needed. The host is a very friendly and caring lady, she was always keen to help and it was nice to chit-chat from time to time in the kitchen or hallway. The shared kitchen has cutlery and dishes and appliances that you need to cook or prepare meals. You can store food in your own fridge in the room and take to the kitchen as needed. The location is great, just a 7 minute walk to Nambu Bus Terminal (line 3) subway station, which can get you pretty much anywhere and you can transfer to line 2 at National University of Education which is one stop away. There are also several buses running near the building that connect you to various parts of the city. Plenty of shops nearby including a convenience store down the street, in addition to a Lotte Supermarket and a GS The Fresh around 5-8 minute walk.

I suppose the room is really small, but it wasn't a big downside for me as I already expected it. It is enough for one person, there is decent storage space in the room and you can store your luggage in a separate room. You really get used to it with time. The shower is literally over the sink so it can be a bit challenging to wash up in that small space, and everything inside the cubicle gets wet so you have to learn how to minimize the mess. Some of the residents who shared the kitchen didn't wash the dishes properly, which was a bit annoying, so please remember to keep things clean in shared spaces!

The friendly host makes the stay feel very cozy and homey. Despite the size of the teeny tiny room my stay was pleasant as the host felt very approachable and always making sure my needs my were met. And to be fair, when visiting Seoul, a comfy bed is all you really need. The kitchen with homemade kimchi and good utilities is perfect for late night ramyun cooking after a long day.
