Property Notes

Please note, minimum age to stay in the hostel is 18 years of age (children cannot be accommodated). Check-in starts at 13:00, check-out is possible until 11:00. Late check-out will be charged $50 MXN per person. Any check-out after 14:00 will be charged for 1 night. Pkease note that an extra environmental tax of 48.85 (MXN) per night per room and that it will be charged upon arrival. Payment is due upon check in. Payment Method: Cash (MXN). It is strictly prohibited to possess or consume any type of illegal drugs at the hostel. Anybody found using drugs will be turned over to the authorities immediately and banned from the hostel. Vandalism is taken very seriously. Anything destroyed must be paid for by the person responsible. The hostel provides secure facilities for your convenience, but is not responsible for anything stolen or lost on its premises during your stay. Alcohol cannot be brought into the hostel. It is strictly prohibited for non-guests to enter the rooms. For security reasons, all guests are required to wear a wristband. On wednesday we have our weekly super party, especially for the dance lovers and nightcrawlers! Because we love and respect our lovely lagoon, Bacalar gives it on wednesday the chance to rest and therefore there are no tours or other water activities during the whole day. A deposit may be required at the property.

L’accès privé a la lagune! La cuisine est top. Les activités proposées sont très chouettes et variées.

Hostel « party », il faut le prendre en compte. Karaoke le lundi (bruyant pour les chambres donnant sur la terrasse) et soirée le mercredi ouverte aux personne de l’extérieur…

"Mejor busca otro alojamiento y usa el muelle gratis"

El uso del muelle para estar en la laguna. Se pueden realizar excursiones desde el mismo hostel. Recomiendo la excursión que se hace en bote en la laguna.

No te tienes que alojar aquí para hacer uso del muelle, cualquier persona puede hacerlo, lo que significaba que estaba lleno y sin suficientes reposeras, de haberlo sabido antes no me hubiera alojado aquí. Hay kayak y tablas de paddle pero se pagan. Si bien hay un descuento para las personas que se alojan, igual se pagan.

"THE BEST HOSTEL IN THE WORLD"

I THE BEST TIME at Yak Hostel. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the rooms are clean, and it’s an easy place to meet people while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. But the highlight of my stay was definitely Hadar - she was absolutely amazing. So kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, and she really made the whole experience feel special. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. Highly recommend this place, and especially the wonderful people who make it feel like home
