Host doesn't communicate or understand English. Hotel is difficult to find simply due to no obvious hotel sign. The area is not safe

Il posto è splendido, giusto all'ingresso del centro storico, bel palazzo con splendida terrazza con vista sulla città e sulla basilica. Tutto è pulito e in ordine e i materassi sono comodissimi. Consiglio vivamente la colazione in terrazza per un inizio di giornata al top. Fernanda è una host eccezionale, ha un'innata capacità di fare incontrare persone e grazie alla sua esperienza nel settore turistico può dispensare utili consigli e organizzare qualsiasi attività a Quito e in Ecuador.

Amazing staff, comfy rooms, beautiful roof terrace!

This is not the hostal you will stay at its under renovations and the owner dropped me off at another hostal called La rosario. The owner is really nice however when you look online the hostel she dropped was half the price if you booked directly with them. PLEASE BE AWARE your getting ripped off

The staff is fantastic, with the owner who makes you feel home and is always willing to give you suggestions and to have a chat. The breakfast is delicious, the bed is comfy and the position is perfect. Obviously don't expect luxury but it's a very good value for money!

There is nothing I didn't like.

Fernanda était très disponible et de bon conseil. L’hotel est bien situé. Le rooftop est joli le soir. Les équipements sont rudimentaires, pas de chauffage mais de l’eau chaude. Pas cher.

La salle de bain au sein meme de la chambre sans séparation est un peu surprenant.

In spite of some negative publicity about travel safety in Ecuador, we travelled to several parts of the country and never felt unsafe. The location in the old town centre allows you to walk to all of the old city attractions. There are restaurants nearby to suit a variety of tastes. Our room was spacious, and we had very comfortable beds. There was plenty of hot water and excellent wi-fi coverage. There are great views from the rooftop dining area. Casacarpdm being in the old town is a great cultural experience. But the best feature of all is the host. Fernanda. She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable and stress free. She organised a number of day trips for us at very good prices, with a safe driver and good guides, suggested good eateries for us, and helped set up our sim card. Unfortunately, we had to seek emergency medical attention, Fernanda gave up a whole day to take us there and provided translations and support for us. She is an absolutely amazing host.

There was nothing at all.

The host is super welcoming and helpful! She wasn’t always around, but always very responsive on WhatsApp for any questions we had. She was also on hand for check in and speaking to our bus driver on the bus back from the Amazon in the middle of the night. With late check out she also let us stay until our bus to the Amazon left late in the evening. We really appreciated all the help! Breakfast cheap and a good portion, very convenient.

The property could really use some TLC, and it wasn’t the most comfortable stay. However, it looked like there was work being done on the property and I think it has a lot of potential! I.e. we had to use bed linen as curtains, otherwise people could see us on the toilet from the stairs. The stairs are metal, and people were running up and down them early in the morning, which was very noisy. The showers in both rooms we had leaked from the bottom. There’s no separation between the room and the toilet, so no privacy. But as I said, it looked like work was being done, so hopefully some of these issues will be addressed! :-)
