Excellent location, very helpful staff, good breakfast.

Amazing hostel that feels like a home from home! We got such a warm, welcoming vibe from Fernanda, the owner, and the other staff members. Everyone was so helpful, and I loved the fact that we could store our luggage here while we went to the Amazon for 5 days. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was super tasty. The location was great as well, very close to all the sights of the Old Town. I’ll stay here again when I return to Quito!

Wonderful host - nice but what is more gives best advice on what to see, where to eat and how to get not only about Quito. Very good breakfast. Good location with walking (after dark as well) restaurants and bar nerby. (Picture added is a window view)

Some more shelf/table space would be nice but that's a minor thing.

The manager is wonderful! She really knows everything and helps a lot. Very nice personal as well. Good location - walking (even after dark) distance from restaurants and a nice bar. Tasty breakfast.

Everything was great. personel and hotel also.

Only minus was that was pretty noise on the street when we were trying to sleep.

Starting several weeks before our stay, Fher and Kathy were answering questions and providing travel advice. With the state of emergency called 10 days before our stay we were a bit concerned but the staff were a great reassuance and resource about what was happening in Quito and Ecuador. I had booked excursions prior to booking my stay at Casa carpeDM. Had I spoke to the staff sooner, I would have booked more of my excursions (such as the Amazon) through their agency. The hostel itself is clean and well situated. The area is quiet, and you will get a good sleep, which is why i initially picked it. There's good wifi and hot water. We enjoyed the breakfast there. I would definitely advise you book the airport transfer with them as it's half the price others were paying for airport cabs. Fher was an excellent host and great resource. She definitely makes the stay enjoyable and was a huge help before and during our stay. We had an excellent holiday in Ecuador and are so thankful we didn't cancel.
