Jugendherberge Kiel

The location is good, it's near the HBF if you travel to Kiel by train. The room is nice and clean. The bed and pillow are comfortable. The staffs are nice and friendly. The breakfast and coffee are perfect too.

It was my fault not to read carefully the Membership fee. I was lucky that I am 26.5 years old so I only need to pay 7 something EUR. It was ridiculous that I had to pay for this fee even I wanted to stay here only once. It really made me felt It was a pity for me for being 0.5 years younger, otherwise I would had to pay 22.5 EUR. Then they said they would send me the membership card to my home in Leipzig, and I have to mail them to cancel the membership, otherwise I will be charged the fee for next year. All of these paperwork for just one night, all I want is to enjoy my holiday.

Nothing, it was as disaster for us. Compared to price the accommodation was too bad.

Room was not clean properly. There was not towel, There was extra membership charge. It was totally wrong selection for my family. They charge us extra as member ship charge although we were not agree to pay.

Nice clean and well organised youth hostel. All units of 2 rooms with spacious shared toilet/shower/washing facilities per unit. So you share these facilities with only 1 other room. Friendly staff and good breakfast with more options than anticipated.

A bit pricy, and the €8,50 "fine" for being older than 27 is not communicated very well on booking.com Some kind of curtains at the small windows near the beds would have been nice.
