Guests must be a member of Hosteling International (HI) or Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk (the German Youth Hostel Association). Membership can be purchased on arrival. Guests residing in Germany pay EUR 7 (under 27 years old) or EUR 27.50 (27 years and older) for membership. International guests without membership pay an extra EUR 3.50 per night for the first 6 nights. Guests aged 27 years or older must pay an additional fee of EUR 5.50 per night. A deposit may be required at the property.

Breakfast was nice.

No wifi in the rooms. Facilities were simple and bare bones but that's fine. I had to pay extra for a yearly membership to club the hostel is part of! This was a bad surprise.

"Overnight in Kiel"

Close to train station and town centre. 4 bed room, spacious, clean, bright. Showers, bathroom etc in good working order, clean, hot water. Great breakfast buffet, plenty of choice and good coffee. Staff friendly and helpful.

Location is quite close to town but if walking, over a footbridge with quite a lot of steps - it was ok for me, could be problem for some. The cost of €35 plus a fee of €5 (for being over 27yrs!!), I thought at first a little expensive for hostel, however, the lovely breakfast did compensate.

nothing！

why must I pay for a numbership for just one night？if someone would like to be the slave of this hotel, just let them be. I will never pay 70 euro for a shared room, never！it is better to feed homeless dogs with my euro than give them to this hotel！
