We were met with a sign at the bus station and taken to the hotel, and helped to carry the bag up to the room.

The smiling faces and helpful attitude of the facility staff are enough to make up for all the deficiencies felt. They are also very helpful about tours. I recommend you contact them for the Valley of the Kings and temples tour and the sunset sailing tours on the Nile River. Those who will be traveling from Turkey should bring a Turkish flag with them and give it as a gift.

There are definitely negatives, but the goodwill of the facility staff and owner compensates for everything.

Amazing place. Incredibly helpful with booking, Tarik is a legend. Rooftop patio is gorgeous, location is convenient for east bank exploration and bus. Absolutely loved our stay and would return!

The hostel is central and the staff is very helpful and nice people. They can help you with organising everything you will need, tours and tickets, without stealing from you.

The hostel is not in good condition anymore, it is falling apart, many things not working, there were many insects in our toilet, and water leaking and filling the room when we showered.

This hotel will be one of a few things from my long trip to Egypt that I will always remember fondly. I would even say that only thanks to this hotel and its staff, my experience in Luxor was positive. Yes, I did not really enjoy Luxor as a city despite all its historical sites, but this hotel is truly a gem there! If you want to stay in a genuinely unique place with great vibes, interact with fellow travellers from all over the globe and get to know local people, this hotel should be your destination in Luxor! I would especially like to thank Ali for all his help, support and advise during my stay in Luxor! He is one of the kindest and greatest persons whom I met in Egypt. He will always do his best to help you with whatever you might need. All other staff members are also caring and helpful, but Ali is the star here! My room was pretty basic, but it had everything I needed, and I liked it so much! The hotel's location is also great in the sense that a local bazaar where you can find many different things is right around the corner. The hotel also has several common spaces, and I enjoyed being there almost every evening and talking to Ali, other staff members and guests from, what it seemed, the whole world. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable accommodation in Luxor!
