GBEverything at Hostel Yui An is so perfect! We've stayed in all kinds of places on our trip to Japan and this one has been the best by far. It's utterly beautiful, hand crafted, perfectly curated, special, calming, comfortable and with the most wonderful view across the mountains. NLThe view from the deck is stunning. Sunset was gorgeous! I enjoyed the conversations with Rey and Hiro as well as the chef whose name I can't remember. Hiro and Rey have created a beautiful space in an old farmhouse. So quiet and peaceful. Hiro picked us up for free from the Nagiso Station. We paid for dinner and breakfast. Both were delicious-- chicken curry with rice from local farmers. Breakfast with homemade apple plum jam. The music was calming. Beds were cozy. Easy to walk the Nakasendo trail from here. Would love to see the fireplace lit during the winter. Must be so cozy.
The room could be aired out a bit. But besides that it was an incredible stay!

AUThis hostel is stylish and charming and has everything we needed. The staff were efficient and very amenable. The photos online don’t do it justice. It is a lovely place. It is situated on the Nakasendo Way as it leaves Nagiso heading for Nojiri. We were picked up at the station and the drive saves us some climbing and a few kilometres walking.
