Jugendherberge Flensburg - Membership required

It's a very standard German youth hostel (DJH), with all the usual facilities, so no surprise there. I visited during the shoulder season when it wasn't too crowded -- but I expect that it will be at the height of the summer, and it won't be quiet. Standard DJH breakfast buffet. Clean.

As often in DJH hostels, comfort is minimal, especially the beds. My tiny room had a 2-person-below and 1-person-above bunk bed, but I can't imagine how the luggage for 3 people could fit in the room. There's no open kitchen for the guests (again, standard in DJH). There's a playground outside, my room happened to be directly above it. Curfew is at 22:00, and the staff will (and did) hand out basketballs to anyone up to 22:00! Forget about having an early night after a long day, or simply wanting to rest a bit in the evening, the noise will make sure of that. Finally, I saw few parking spaces.

Public transportation is really good in the city, that makes easy to take a bus from train station or city center to the hostel.

Nothing. It was just an stop before Copenhaguen and it was nothing but a total disappointment.

If you are an adventurer, world traveler, funny, easy going this is NOT your place. This places is more for older people, big families or big groups. It's far away from everything, and I payed even less for better places, the customers just look for any excuse when they do their job, and you have to pay extra even that in Booking App there's a price determined, the answer of the customer is just that "Booking App is always wrong". The customer that I had even say that she is leaving this hostel soon, in an excuse of mistake after mistake with my staying. At the end I just have to payed, the interaction with the customers was going no where but just excuses.
