Massiosare El Hostal

That was my second time in Massiosare Hostel, and it was perfect again! Love the facilities and the rooftop! Huge kitchen very handy to cook, lovely rooftop with amazing views, and lots of place to hang out and chilling. Great location.

It's on top of a building without lift so worth mentioning that you will be climbing a lot of steps, if you have a lot of luggages!

Dorms had no power outlet on beds, privacy screens, very loud, creaky beds that moved a lot

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hostel had a laid-back but social vibe, especially because you all had breakfast together in the morning. The location was great as it's very close to the historical centre.

Some showers had a low pressure and the temperature couldn't be adjusted easily.

Nice central location with a great terrace! Although we ate out most meals (especially at the delicious vegan restaurant underneath the hostel) they had separate vegetarian and meat kitchens which we liked and thought was a nice touch.

The room (standard double) was pretty small with some faulty windows. The room was clean but the bed was quite uncomfortable.

Location is quite good. Fun vibe with many tourists and kind people. Breakfast was good.

Showers and toilets were OK but not ideal. No elevator makes it difficult to carry the bags upstairs.

Location is ideal if you intend to see the historic center.

Area is not ideal if you are looking for a clean lodging facility. The online photos are quite deceiving. Sheets are super worn out, room has a smell and is not well-ventilated and well-lighted. Despite staying in a separate private room, this is not a place if you are looking for peaceful sleeps, and remote-working. In-room wifi is not available.

Old building, big windows with a great view and lots of light! Free coffee, juice, and although average (beans and rice) breakfast. Met some Lovley people, very relaxed atmosphere. Staff accommodated me with organising a fan for the room as not every room has one. super convenient vegan food chain down stairs. Overall for the price you pay it’s good !

Most of the staff seemed disinterested in guests but were polite! Cleanliness was average although I think it is cleaned quite regularly. The 4 bed room women’s dorm was very hot and stuffy. I wouldn’t recommend. It didn’t have a fan Untill I asked for one multiple times. It would be great to have some towel hooks or something in the room! The area is very central with great public transport but the streets are very much industrial and lighting shop.

I didn't like getting bit by mosquitoes all night. The 4 staircase hike to get up to the hostel is a nightmare with heavy luggage.

The building is really interesting and the hostel has a cosy and chilled feel. The roof terrace is lovely and it was really nice to have breakfast up there. Location is also spot on and there is a good vegan restaurant in the same building. I also adored the little cats they have there. Would recommend to visitors to CDMX.

The showers were almost always cold and most of the staff seemed wholy disinterested in the guests, aside from one guy who was on the terrace one evening making drinks. The stairs were a lot but honestly it's fairly clear from the description that there's no functioning lift.
