Casa Sofia Guest House

The location is excellent, near the main road with buses and street food and also not far from the city centre. Breakfast was fine and the staff was friendly and prepared the breakfast for us a lot earlier, when we had to leave for the bus. Very good value for the low price.

I loved the atmosphere the most - it's so cozy, very clean, and Home-like. With whatever question I arrived with, they had an answer or solution or recommendation. They helped me with many things that I wouldn't have ever expected. It's a beautiful home for all of us travelers that Sofia has created. Very welcoming. And quiet also! I stayed there longer and met many nice people who all loved this place, many of us were extending our stays and that tells quite a lot :)

Sofia's care.

We only stayed here 1 night and arrived on the bus late. Sofia provides a very easy self-check in for latecomers which we really appreciated. The price is nice and cheap but appropriate for what we got. Good wifi, comfortable room and bed, well decorated, pretty courtyard, basic breakfast included, and Sofia seems like an absolutely lovely person. She provided great traveler-friendly information prior to our arrival.

At 6:30 am, other guests decided to have a very long and noisy breakfast, despite people asking them to be quiet. While this is not the fault of the property, the metal doors to the bathrooms and front door bang extremely loudly and Sofia prepares the breakfast items the night before, so people can help themselves as early as they like. The rooms are around a courtyard and the kitchen is outdoor so you hear everything. Thay would drive me crazy if I stayed here a few nights. The budget room has a skylight so in combination with noisy people, the room is completely bright at 6-6:30am. Shower was cold water only, not unbearable but pretty fresh.

It’s just a 5 minute walk from downtown. Surrounded by a lot of places to visit and eat. Kitchen is available for everyone and that’s a big plus for a more comfortable stay.
