Caban Surf

Nice room. Simple but clean. Shared bathroom with simple shower set up. Also kept clean. Nice terrace with view to the ocean. Friendly / helpful staff. It's a very sociable hostel - people chatting on the terrace each evening.

The building doesn't have much sound proofing. Socialising finished at respectful hours but you are definitely aware of when people are up and about, opening and closing doors, using the bathroom.

I gave this score for two reasons, the first one the host didn’t even welcome us and he didn’t check our informations (for the safety of everyone else staying there) and the second reason was his lie about breakfast he told us that breakfast doesn’t start until 10:30 even though there was a note on the door says breakfast available from 9 to 10:30 so we had to leave without having breakfast. I’m going to share a picture for the note.

We stayed in the king suite and it was a DREAM! Plus the staff was so kind and helpful and made us the best breakfast in the morning. Best spot in town!

The location was great. Parking was available right next to the property at no additional costs. The place was clean and the terrace was great. The staff was friendly. Walking around the neighbourhood is also no problem during the day (we avoided it in the night).

The staff was very friendly, but did not speak English very well, so communicating was not always very easy. We preferred an early breakfast, but the earliest possible was at 9am. The room I booked was on the ground floor with 1 tiny tiny window, so the room was very dark and it was difficult to get fresh air into the room. Would recommend to book one of the smaller rooms upstairs.

Room I booked was super noisy on the ground floor. we could hear everything, even when someone flushed the toilet. poor sleep during the whole stay.

The rooftop in the morning was amazing but at night they turn on this blue weird light and its really bad

I hated the location, was a bit shady and full of crazy scary dogs. And also the fact that it on booking I selected filter private bathroom but in the end the rooms had shared bathrooms only the suit had one private bathroom in the whole building
