Newly refurbished (was a YHA), warm, comfortable, great breakfast- porridge great. Staff lovely and very tolerant of my confused dog.

Heating very efficient so if you like a cool bedroom put the radiator off.

The location on the Coast to Coast path

The fact that it wasn't staffed until 5pm so we had to wait for 3 hours before it opened. The fact that the only food was frozen. There was only one veggie option which wasn't fabulous which was expensive given it was a frozen meal. The packed breakfast was poor as was the packed lunch.
