I loved everything about this place the people the environment I highly recommend anyone heading to Ella to stay at this place you will have your expectations exceeded x 1000 the owners and staff are amazing people!

I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay forever

It's a dream! The view here is incredible. Dreamville is nestled in the mountains, so you have a perfect view of the landscapes of Ella, including a gorgeous waterfall. You wake up to absolute serenity, and the property has lots of places to just chill out and enjoy the view. The beds are kind of open air, which I loved because you can draw the curtain in the morning and you're immediately greeted by this unbelievable view. The temperature is perfect too - Ella is never cold or hot, so the blanket that Dreamville provides is perfect for nighttime. Beds are super comfy! Breakfast was lovely as well, and you eat on the terrace that overlooks the whole property. Sham, the owner, is so lovely and did everything she could to make my stay wonderful, including calling tuktuks for me in the middle of the night! The only thing I'll note is that the place is about 30 minutes outside of Ella on a very bumpy tuktuk ride. I loved being away from the main part of Ella, but you might want to factor in some extra time and cost for travel (costs are minimal, about 2000 SLR one-way into town). The wifi works really well, but doesn't quite reach the bunks, so you'll probably want to use it in one of the common spaces. My only regret is not staying longer and spending more time hanging around Dreamville!

Lovely host. Sham is a very nice person. All the other staff also, very friendly and helpful 🫶 The place is wonderful, feels like safe and chillful, and so far the best hostel we ever been in Sri Lanka. The food is soooo delicious 😋 You could go for a walk with Marley, one of the cutest dogs I ever met!!

Property is really well placed between the mountains and nature. In addition, the staff and owners make you feel very welcome!

Beautiful view and location, lovely food, and the most helpful staff. They organised our entire time in Ella, including recommendations of what to do, renting scooters for us and even organising a full day safari of Yala national park. Definitely recommend it!

Whole facility is new, super clean, hot running water, great service and staff, outstandingly great view in the morning. Small pool is nice to refresh. Less mosquitos

Location is quite off path, you need to ask the owner 40 min prior to send a tuktuk. Random drivers in the city might don’t know how to find the way. 30min ride from Ella city. It’s worth it since it’s so peaceful and amazing view in the morning. You should be ok with a few insects!
