Hostal La Isla

La Isla Hostel is an absolutely fantastic hostel that we would warmly recommend to anyone and everyone. The breakfast is good, the terrace is cozy, and the indoor common areas are wonderfully and comfortably decorated. Overall, it’s a place where you just feel like hanging out. We even ended up extending our stay. Everyone is incredibly kind, and it feels very much like a family. The staff and volunteers are always ready with great recommendations for things to experience in San Cristóbal de las Casas and are extremely helpful. As a bonus, there is also free yoga three times a week with highly skilled instructors. 10 out of 10! 🌟

Supercomfy and communal atmosphere. Clean and nice.

El personal hace que te sientas cómodo, casi como un hogar. Marian explica todo y el sitio esta muy limpio. El desayuno estupendo y los voluntarios, Andrew y Berta encantadores. Las taquillas amplias. Muchas zonas comunes. Muy amplio.

Las sabanas y colchón un poco viejos

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk, de gratis yoga is top en het ontbijt is prima. Bij de receptie hangen veel goede aanbevelingen voor restaurants en uitjes. Het hostel is rustig en relaxed.

De eerste 2 nachten hadden we last van een hond van de buren die de hele nacht non-stop aan het blaffen was. Toen we dat aangaven mochten we naar een andere kamer, dus dat was top opgelost. Die kamer rook af en toe wat naar riool door het naastgelegen toilet. Het personeel was vriendelijk en nam onze feedback direct mee en ging dit probleem oplossen.

AK and Mariam were excellent hosts. Property was immaculate clean,I have never found so clean property in Central America. Keep up the good work and Thanks again!!!!

Posizione ottima e struttura bellissima. I due ragazzi dello staff sono veramente adorabili, mi sono sentita subito a casa. Si respira un clima di serenità, disponibilità e di condivisione. Ho apprezzato molto la colazione sana e la possibilità di fare yoga. 5 stelle !

Leider bellte ein Hund jede Nacht direkt vor unserem Fenster, wodurch wir sehr schlecht geschlafen haben. Das Zimmer lies sich nicht abdunkeln. Die Handtücher waren nicht im Preis inbegriffen (anders als bei Booking hinterlegt) und es war nur Barzahlung möglich.

Staff are really lovely and easy to talk to. They go out of their way to help and were very responsive before my stay. The atmosphere is what makes the hostel great and is chilled. It was also clean all the time. The location is fantastic. Pancakes are good.

The main benefit I would suggest would be oiling the door hinges or replacing the door in the top floor bathroom as it squeaks which woke me up.

Everything, great vibe wonderful facility good breakfast great location.
