"Perfect in every way!"

We were welcomed like family. We felt so at home and cared for. Vicky and Gerard were so kind and thought of everything to make sure that we were comfortable and told us all about the area, giving us local insight into trails and walks. We wish we could have stayed longer- possibly forever!

The location was great as we did some hiking around Arthur's Pass so very ideal indeed. Also the hosts Vikki and her husband were very friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Throughly recommend Rata Lodge to any traveller.

Ōtira makes a good base for a day in Arthur's Pass. There is nothing in Ōtira itself.

"If you’re head through Anthony’s Pass this is the place to stop!"

The best part was meeting the hosts and the other guests! The room was lovely. The bed and pillows were super comfy.
