Moicca Youth Hostel

Sehr nettes Hostel mit einer tollen Atmosphäre. Der Besitzer war super freundlich, immer erreichbar und hat bei allem geholfen – sogar den Pick-up sofort organisiert. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, das WLAN funktioniert zuverlässig, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Es gibt auch einen Hund, der manchmal recht lebhaft ist – das bringt aber auch etwas Leben ins Hostel. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt!

Ich war zweimal dort – einmal vor und einmal nach meinem Jungle-Aufenthalt. Das erste Zimmer hat etwas muffig gerochen, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran.

Good price, included breakfast, and mostly nice staff

There were a lot of ants, which I could understand to some extent since it's the Amazon. However, when I found many ants inside my backpack and asked for help, one of the staff told me things like “You must have brought them from Lima” or “You probably had snacks in your bag.” That didn’t make sense to me at all — I didn’t have any snacks, and I found the response a bit dismissive. I appreciated the help I eventually received, but the way it was handled made me feel uncomfortable.

The staff. Very chill and friendly. And Favio gives great recommendations. I had the best day of my time in Iquitos following his suggestions. They also keep the place exceptionally clean, which sets the example for guests. The price is very reasonable. Also, free bag storage and inexpensive to cook or shower post checkout. The neighbourhood is very lively! You can see chickens at all stages of life haha.

Nothing to be done, but it was so hot and humid, and it could not be escaped in the dorm rooms, even with many fans whirring. Also, it’s a bit far from the main touristy area and the street is pretty rundown with garbage and potholes. This may make some feel uncomfortable, especially at night.

I stayed here before and after a jungle excursion. Unfortunately no breakfast, which was previously offered, but nice affordable stay with good vibes and a sweet host.

Fabio is very unfriendly. He just kicks tourists out of the hostel for no reason. During my stay, he kicked three more tourists out of the hostel. He has no business being in a hostel.

Beautiful chilled vibe, comfy beds, lovely staff! Staff there to help you with whatever you need and if you need any advice on where to go/what to do ☺️ Luna the Cat and Liondas the puppy are the cutest too. Can easily get a tuk tuk into the main area, which is under 10 minute’s. Would recommend
