"A very good hostel for travellers on a low budget."

After our stay we left for a 2day-trip, and they let us store our bags in the hostel for free. After the trip, we were also allowed to take a (hot) shower, even though we didn’t have a reservation anymore. The staff was thus very helpfull and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

We were not sure what to expect when we booked this budget hostel at its low price. It was much better than the previous hotels we stayed in that were quite expensive. We had a queen room on the roof top floor with access to two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and fridge. The bed had the faded mismatched sheets, but they were the absolute softest ones I've crawled into! We arrived very tired after a not so comfy overnight bus at 0530am. The manager Daniel was so kind, he gave us a room as soon as we arrived to rest. He helped us out a lot with directions, activity suggestions, and even told us where to go to get a sim card for 5 Soles for 5 days. We had prebooked a Colca Canyon Tour and left at 4am before breakfast was served, but Daniel had a bag with fresh bread, butter and jams ready for us to take on our way! The location was perfect, right beside the main square where all the activities and tours meet ups take place. Walking distance to the market as well. I had already booked our activities ahead of time, but David suggested so many more things to us. I guess we will have to go to Peru again:) Activities we did (and recommend): -Sillar tour -Full day colca canyon with hot springs -San Camilo market (try the queso helado ice cream) Activities we didn't get time for: -monasterio de Santa Catalina -free walking tour -ice maiden @ Museo Santuarios Andinos -panoramic bus tour from main plaza -rooftop restaurant along the plaza at sunset -Pillones waterfall

My pillow was lumpy, but was too tired to ask for a different one.
