Titanic's Nipa Hut

3 nights in a typical bungalow nipa hut. It's an experience to live in a traditional way (but with way more comfort than the locals have). The aircon in the bedroom is appreciated because the opened hut saloon is really hot in May ! We had a fridge, drinking water for free and a kettle with coffee. They changed our garbage bin (which was the first time in our stay in the Visayas). The plants look really nice in the garden. The sea is a 100 meters away from the residence... it's the locals and fishermen access to the sea, not a beach, but it looked beautiful. We rented a scooter for 350php directly to the landlady. I prefer this type of accommodation than big European resorts. The staff was really nice.

The hut was really hot, because even if there are no windows, the wind doesn't pass through because of the plant roof that hangs. We were there in May which is the hottest period, and there were heat waves at that time so that didn't help. I guess with normal temperature, it's not that hot !

Was the third time there! Great nipa hut! Free water and coffee! A caddle, good bed and 2 fan! The owner so nice and helpful! Salamat ate

Wall sockets were terrible, the plugs would quite literally fall out, as we had adapters the weight wouldn’t hold so we had to prop the plugs up which was strange.

Very cozy huts with very friendly staff. It was really easy to rent a scooter there to get to other locations in moalboal. Really clean and a nice location near the sea. Definitely worth the price.

The road near the house was really bumpy. Hard to drive with the scooter. Also the hut was a little small for three people. Dogs outside were very loud at night

The accommodation claims the rooms have air-conditioning but that is not true. The room has one normal fan and one high-tech looking fan which is supposed to be an air-conditioner but really isn't. Also, both fans work only from time to time. So, when there is 30°C in the room, it's really hard to sleep. Also, there are packs of dogs around the accommodation that are barking all night. In 5 nights I got one good sleep. That resulted in an illness that complicated my vacation. If the accommodation cannot provide you room where you could comfortably sleep, the accommodation is useless.

this place is perfect for beach lover as its so close and the owner is very nice as she attend all our needs. its so cozy to stay on a traditional nipa hut house it feels like my younger days.

not that I don't like maybe to put more hammock around the area for people to lounge although we spent most of the time on the beach so it's not a big deal.
