Mid-Atlantic House

The hostel is located right in front of the ocean and has an amazing view, both from the room and the outside terrace. The host is super welcoming! Will definitely stay again here if back in Angra do Heroísmo

sheila and the rest of the staff were soo friendly and welcoming, as soon as I checked in, sheila gave me a briefing about the island, what do to, where to go, she even had a map of her fav places! as a solo female traveller, I felt super comfortable and at ease. the place is very clean, the kitchen has everything you need along with some snacks. def would come back again!

The bathroom needed a bit of love and daily cleaning

The location is absolutely amazing. You're close to everything and you get an incredible view of Angra's bay. The kitchen is also well-equipped and comfortable.

Cleanliness could have been better. The bathroom broke down, and because the staff is only there for about 3 hours a day they had us wait until they came in the next morning. In the meantime, we had to use the dirty bathroom in one of the suites someone had checked out of. The staff also didn't replace the dishwasher, toilet paper and other things unless we asked them to, and weren't very helpful when I asked for suggestions on public transit and other things. That said, they were nice and this works well as a self-service accommodation.
